~~...Or What I Call - The Video Game Of Life...~~
You remember don’t you?
The moment you awoke, when the veil of darkness was lifted from your mind’s eye.
Before you were one of them, a slave serving the forgotten, lost in the prison you used to call (your mind) life…
Now don’t give me that look, you know I’m right.
Think about it, you woke everyday at dawn and got cleaned up.
Had some food and went to school, college, or work.
Whatever you called it…
Came back home, and off to bed you go, then repeat procedure.
Seems an awful lot like the life of a prisoner.
The thing is that he has an advantage.
He knows he has no choice but to comply…
Oh come on now! Cut the human rights crap, you do have an opinion you know.
You are free…within the boundaries of this illusion.
Especially on a cosmic level.
You are a rat in a maze, funny thing is, and someone is laughing at you at this very instant.
Although you thought you had a serious life going on.
Allow me to explain:
Your memories are mostly lies.
Which ones of them are real?
Don’t even bother trying to figure it out.
You’ll be wasting your last chance at escaping this trap.
For some reason we humans are living inside a dream.
Memories come and go just like the sun.
What was real once disappears, along with its memories.
This leaves in our mind a new passage of time, one that wasn’t there before.
Once you could have been a doctor, and today you are cop.
You even remember the day you graduated from the academy.
Tomorrow you’ll be a retail store clerk, who remembers how his father built that shop with his two bare hands.
The reasons...
I don’t even know`em...
Truth be told, most of my conjectures are nothing but conclusions drawn from the things I’ve seen...
You think I’m nuts?
Yeah, just like you.
Your wife didn’t leave, she is not even your wife anymore.
She is not a part of your reality.
Just like my daughter, people see us as mad.
Haven’t you ever seen those nut-cases preaching the end of the world on the street?
Poor deranged people...well...seems like they are right.
We now have more in common with them than with the rest of the world.
We are the ones they send to asylums, speaking of things that never happened.
People that didn’t exist, and the paranoia of the hunt for grips on reality.
Ok, thing is, you opened your third eye.
The sight of the mind.
Our physical and imperfect bodies can only see what we want to see, or what they want us to see...
Who are they?
I’ll get to that in a minute.
But your soul carries an untapped potential, one you just unlocked.
Yes, you remember right?
For a second there you saw a world crumbling to pieces around you, monsters lurking behind every corner.
Waiting for a victim to walk their way.
Well, some say that’s the final sight, the absolute freedom of our minds.
Others that it’s just another barrier our minds must endure before unlocking the wonders of the cosmos.
I don’t believe in neither, all I care is that after the day you saw that reality for the first time.
You will never be able to live again.
No longer your memories will change.
You are free of the fetter of this illusion.
Ghosts, vampires, werewolves, succubus, demons and angels.
All of them are very real, and walk among us.
Although you need the third eye to see them or even believe in them.
Rational thinking is nice and all, but in an ironic way.
Logic is the way of the madmen.
The one who blocks the existence of these monsters, and of our shifting chaotic reality.
You just can’t see them.
The creatures hide themselves well, but with enough skill and practice, the mind’s eye will guide you to the truth.
Join the ranks of the ones people call mad.
There is no turning back now!
Help humanity break free from the chains of illusion.
Become the third eye.
Third Eye is a game of personal horror and conspiracies, at least that’s how I think of it.
By drawing elements from the matrix within the veil.
Night city, Kult, CoC and other popular fictions.
I’m trying to pull out a game where human beings are prisoners of logic.
Locking themselves away from Cosmos: “The chaotic truth”.
Throughout the use of a great power, the third eye, some are able to pierce the wall.
Catching a glimpse of what hides behind our own creation...
Humans are being pursued by a greater entity because of our inherent ability to create from nothingness and give order to our universe.
Chaos (the entity) is a force stronger than Idea (the dream world created by humanity’s attempt to escape from chaos).
It’s slowly corroding the wall, letting it’s minions into our world.
They are creatures of myth, and they exist.
Taking advantage of humanity’s innocence, feeding upon the beings who deny their own existence.
Their mission is to open the gates of Idea from the inside, but these creatures actually like our world.
Most of them have decided to protect the illusion instead.
Using humans as slaves, strengthening the reality and pushing away chaos.
Think about it, one day you are off to work, and suddenly the third eye opens.
The world seems a darker place filled with shadows.
The sky becomes a wall.
Every now and then the world changes completely.
Your best friend died five years ago, yet he is now working at the postal service.
Your high school girlfriend who dumped you is now your wife, and your house is full of your wedding pictures.
Yet no one sees theses changes except you.
No one to trust but those who share the power of the eye, the same persons you used to call mad.
Now they are your allies...
Question is, why you, what are you supposed to do?
Kill the supernatural?
Break humanity free from their prison?
Or discover the Cosmo and become the paragon that will eventually guide humanity against Chaos in the apocalypse.
Accept it or not...It's True...another roll of the dice...another day.
So what do you think?
